hell is other people

No matter what you were before, no matter where you were, you now find yourself waking up in a vast, endless white space that seems to stretch on eternally — equipped only with the knowledge of your mission: This isn't heaven, and if you want any hope of making it out of here, there's another person you have to find; and you must make that person forgive you for your sins. The Nitty-Gritty » Your character wakes up with a sin marked above their head in big red letters. Don't leave those top-levels blank! It can be something as vague as a deadly sin, or it can be a more specific crime. » Your character cannot lie to or manipulate the other party into forgiving them. Attempts to do so will result in a small buzzing in their ears that quickly worsens to an unbearable headache. » The side tagging in has the same mission! We're all sinners here. (NOTE: your character does not necessarily have to be a bad person or a villain. The bar is low!) » If your character had a weapon on them before, it's gone now. Attempts at violence aren't forbidden, but it's not like you can actually make death stick in a place like this. Injuries, too, heal abnormally quickly. So if your character wants to risk it, threats and injury are a go! Just don't be surprised if that ends up backfiring and making it even more difficult to get the other side to forgive them. » Both parties must decide that the other can be forgiven in order to be freed from this place. |
