pros and cons of dating your character

a humor/shipping meme

The premise is simple.

[1] Your character has a sign listing out all the pros and cons of dating them. Maybe they wrote it themselves, maybe they didn't.
[2] This list is displayed for everyone else to see.
[3] That's it.

Do not post any blank top levels. Comment with your character's list, then have fun reacting to other people's pros and cons.

The Room You Can't Leave Until You [x]

A strange trope from the corners of Twitter and Pixiv that relies on the fact that sometimes the most in-character way to get what you want from characters... is to force it.

Two characters are stuck in a room- usually a completely featureless room- with a sign that steadfastly declares the door to the room will not open unless they complete a task. The task can range from something harmless and embarrassing to something full out R-18. Some people enjoy playing up the sadistic captivity of whoever would arrange such a thing while others just enjoy the premise as an excuse.
There's a lot of flexibility so be clear about anything you do/don't want to play out!

Level 1: Nothing but Talk.
1. Tell a Secret
2. Reveal Your Dark Past
3. Compliment the Other Person
4. Confess Your Love

Level 2: Let's get Physical.
1. Hug
2. Kiss
3. Princess Carry
4. Wall-pin (kabedon)

Level 3: We're Getting Spicy!
1. Make-out
2. Fondle a chest
3. Admit Your Kinks
4. Read-aloud a Bad Porn Script

Level 4: Flat-out Explicit!
1. Mutual masturbation
2. Give head
3. Try a new Kink
4. Have sex

Obviously these aren't the only options out there. Feel free to make up your own and label for sexual/violent content!

Got a canon-specific one? Put it in your toplevel! Really got something you want to play out? Put it in your toplevel! Only looking for the general levels, nothing remotely sexual? Put it in your toplevel! See someone not playing what you like? Mind your business and make your own toplevel!

(IC) LIKES and DISLIKES

The meme is simple, list your character's likes and dislikes. These act as prompts that taggers can pick and choose from and make a scenario out of. Do they like shopping and playing certain games, maybe long walks on the beach? Do they dislike going to hospitals or getting stuck in traffic, maybe even a certain person? List them all, mix-and-match, and have fun!

i have a type: the meme

How to play:

  • Post with your character.
  • Describe their preferences for a romantic partner or just a person they wanna bang/smooch in a generalized way.
  • This is shown to EVERYBODY.
  • Reply to those comments indulging, teasing, mocking, being scandalized or so on.
  • Or you can just go the lazy route, like certain songs.

muselist questionnaire
out of all your characters, who is the strongest? the weakest? the most likely to take over the world or win a pie eating contest? well, now's the time to consider these very important questions and more!

→ in the subject line, write a question starting with "which character". ex: which character has the best hair?
→ comment with the characters that apply.
→ respond to others. bond over similarities, clash over differences, or vice versa!

1. Exactly what it says on the tin. Post with your character and have them say what they're most proud of! It could range from simple things from their appearance or a hidden talent, to their greatest achievements and their goals!
2. Don't leave your top-levels blank! Whoever leaves blank top-levels is a big poo-poo head.
3. Respond! Challenge them, congratulate them, roast them, whatever!

Hell Is Other People

The Premise

You are dead. No matter what you were before, no matter where you were, you now find yourself waking up in a vast, endless white space that seems to stretch on eternally — equipped only with the knowledge of your mission:
This isn't heaven, and if you want any hope of making it out of here, there's another person you have to find; and you must make that person forgive you for your sins.

The Nitty-Gritty

» Your character wakes up with a sin marked above their head in big red letters. Don't leave those top-levels blank! It can be something as vague as a deadly sin, or it can be a more specific crime.
» Your character cannot lie to or manipulate the other party into forgiving them. Attempts to do so will result in a small buzzing in their ears that quickly worsens to an unbearable headache.
» The side tagging in has the same mission! We're all sinners here. (NOTE: your character does not necessarily have to be a bad person or a villain. The bar is low!)
» If your character had a weapon on them before, it's gone now. Attempts at violence aren't forbidden, but it's not like you can actually make death stick in a place like this. Injuries, too, heal abnormally quickly. So if your character wants to risk it, threats and injury are a go! Just don't be surprised if that ends up backfiring and making it even more difficult to get the other side to forgive them.
» Both parties must decide that the other can be forgiven in order to be freed from this place.
